The countdown has officially begun for the launch of the famous French fashion house's latest luxury scent. 'Gabrielle Chanel' muse Kristen Stewart joined a cluster of stars celebrating the new addition to Chanel's fragrance family at a lavish party at Paris's Palais de Tokyo during Paris Haute Couture week.

Just hours after the close of Chanel's Fall 17-18 Haute Couture show, VIP guests were summoned to an exclusive launch party for the new perfume. Pharrell Williams, Katy Perry, Cara Delevingne, Caroline de Maigret, Gaspard Ulliel, Alma Jodorowsky, Kaya Scodelario, Ines de la Fressange, Cécile Cassel, Alessandra Mastronardi, Blanca Li, Rossy di Palma, Zhou Xun, Liu Wen were among the lucky few who were treated to a live set by Pharrell Williams in the presence of Chanel's creative director Karl Lagerfeld.

The new luminous and solar fragrance is co-designed by Chanel 'nose' Olivier Polge and the house's Fragrance Creation and Development Laboratory.

At the launch party, walls lined with faceted movable mirrors reflected images that multiplied and disappeared as guests moved through the space, and thus served as the "antechamber of a maze peppered with Mademoiselle's favorite quotes."

Scented niches provided guests the opportunity to smell the main ingredients of the fragrance (ylang-ylang, orange blossom, jasmine and Grasse tuberose).

A room plunged into darkness projected a hologram — an allegory of the bottle exploding into a bouquet of flowers, while the scent of the new Chanel fragrance wafted through the air.

As well as getting to see the bottle on display, guests got an exclusive showing of the new advertising film for the new scent, slated for release on September 1.
