KLM said that the partnership with Rituals marks a new step in providing its customers a memorable travel experience.

The Amsterdam Collection is inspired by 'Where the Far East and the historic West first met', which is translated to the scents used for the collection: Dutch tulips and Japanese citrus fruit yuzu.

For the design of the collection, Rituals found its inspiration in the Dutch artwork De Dekselvaas, a vase by Gerrit Pietersz. Kam, which is owned by the Rijksmuseum since 1969. The flowers and branches on the vase are based on Asian ceramics and textiles.

Customers traveling World Business class are able to use hand foam, hand lotion, hair gel and body fog at the lavatories. In addition, they will receive a set of face moisturizer and lip balm from the Rituals collection. Customers traveling Economy Class will be able to use the hand foam at the lavatories.

In previous years KLM has launched several collaborations with Dutch designers and brands, including: comfort bags by Viktor & Rolf; uniforms designed by couturier Mart Visser; and dinner service designed by Marcel Wanders, to name a few examples.
