Emanuele Farneti: Vogue Italia's new editor-in-chief

Emanuele Farneti has been revealed as Vogue Italia's new editor-in-chief. The Italian version of the women's style bible revealed the appointment via its Vogue Italia Instagram account on Sunday. Farneti will also oversee the editorial at Vogue Italia's menswear offering L'Uomo Vogue.

"#EmanueleFarneti @efarneti has been appointed Editor in Chief of #vogueitalia and @luomovogue," read the post.

Farneti has been at the helm of eight different publications in his career including La Gazzetta dello Sport, Sportweek, Men’s Health, Flair, Icon and interior design magazine AD --  all before his latest stint at GQ, where he had served since 2015.

He succeeds Franca Sozzani after her sudden death in December 2016. The appointment is effective immediately.
