Foot Locker hosts "Week of Greatness”

New York-based specialty athletic retailer Foot Locker kicked off its fifth-annual “Week of Greatness” on Saturday.
 
The “Week of Greatness” consists of a full week of the hottest sneaker releases and fresh gear from Foot Locker’s top brands. New releases drop everyday during the “Week of Greatness” in Foot Locker and Kids Foot Locker stores.

This year’s global brand campaign features NFL quarterback Tom Brady, NBA forward Carmelo Anthony, rapper Ja Rule, NBA point guard Kyrie Irving, and European football stars Gareth Bale and Anthony Martial.
 
“Celebrating our fifth ‘Week of Greatness,’ with hilarious anecdotes of greatness from the likes of Tom Brady, Carmelo Anthony, Ja Rule, Kyrie Irving and more is really special,” says Jake Jacobs, EVP and CEO for Foot Locker North America, in a news statement. “This is an event that our customers truly look forward to and we’re proud to have grown the campaign over the years.”

The athletes are featured in funny videos such as one with Rapper Ja Rule where he stars as a ride-share driver who reminisces on his great days of the past and engages in a friendly conversation about Foot Locker’s fifth-annual “Week of Greatness” with passengers.
 
The “Week of Greatness” commercials, globally, were created by worldwide agency BBDO. The campaign will run until Saturday, November 26.
