After Tokyo, where its founders are currently based, French heritage beauty brand L'Officine Universelle Buly continues to expand in Asia, opening a new store in Hong Kong in partnership with Arnault Castel, founder of the Kapok concept stores and himself based in Hong Kong since 1996.

The 65 m2 store has the feel of an old-style pharmacy, in-keeping with the brand's DNA, with a five-metre ceiling and a central area entirely surrounded by the wooden cabinets showcasing Buly's cosmetic products.

The unconventional beauty label is masterminded by French businessmen Ramdane Touhami and Victoire de Taillac, who in the 2000s ran the Parisian multibrand store La Parfumerie Générale, specialised in niche cosmetics.

L'Officine Universelle Buly opened its first store in Paris in 2014, and now has a retail presence also in London, New York, Taipei and Seoul.
