Drawing inspiration from Dutch florals and the use of darkness and light in the paintings of artists such as Caravaggio and Jan Van Huysum, the tote features striped sporty handles and a botanical print.

The collaboration will help Mother of Pearl gain more visibility among consumers. The London-based luxury label won the 2017 BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund and was awarded the Walpole Emerging British Luxury Talent prize last year.

Founded by Maia Norman and currently lead by Creative Director Amy Powney, Mother of Pear creates womenswear with a focus on print, sportswear inspired detailing and luxe fabrications.

Caroline Rush, Chief Executive of the British Fashion Council said: “Mother of Pearl’s beautiful designs perfectly capture British creativity and the energy of London Fashion Week Festival. It has been great to work with Amy on the tote bags for this season and I look forward to seeing them being used all over London and further afield.”

The limited edition tote bag will be included in London Fashion Week Festival’s Silver, Gold and Luxe ticket packages, available now online. Consumers will be also able to get their hands on the tote bag at the event.

The four day public event will take place at The Store Studios, 180 Strand from 21-24 September.
