Lululemon appoints Patrick Guido CFO

Canadian athletic apparel maker Lululemon Athletica has a new Chief Financial Officer.

The company announced on Monday the appointment of Patrick (PJ) Guido as CFO, effective April 30, 2018.
 
In this role, he will assume responsibility for the accounting, financial planning and analysis, tax, international finance, investor relations, and treasury functions. He will report to Lululemon's Chief Operating Officer, Stuart Haselden.

Guido arrives from a seven-year tenure at VF Corporation, whose portfolio includes brands such as Vans, Timberland and The North Face, where he served as Treasurer and Vice President of Corporate Development, managing capital allocation strategies, mitigating global financial risk, and executing on multiple strategic initiatives for the company.
 
Prior to that, he served in various roles at The Home Depot, Inc. and Saks Incorporated.
 
"With an impressive track record at major retail and consumer companies, PJ has deep experience guiding businesses during periods of substantial economic expansion," said Haselden, in a news statement.

"Our momentum remains strong and we're thrilled to have PJ join the team and look forward to his important contributions."
 
Meanwhile, the company’s CEO Laurent Potdevin abruptly stepped down in February. The company is currently still continuing its CEO search.
 
Potdevin, formerly president of footwear brand TOM shoes, became CEO of Lululemon in January 2014, taking over from Christine Day.
 
In the interim, Murphy has taken on the expanded role of executive chairman, with three senior executives equally taking on expanded duties and reporting to him.
