Caitlyn Jenner and MAC’s lipstick collaboration, first released in April of 2016, has raised over $1.3 million for the MAC AIDS Fund’s Transgender initiative. 100% percent of the sales from Caitlyn Jenner’s “Finally Free” limited-edition lipstick shade went towards the initiative.

MAC AIDS Fund Chairman and Group President, Estee  Lauder Companies Inc, stated “At M∙A∙C, community and inclusion have always been part of our brand — our culture and our business model. Since 1994, we have donated over $440 million via our M∙A∙C AIDS Fund to fight HIV/AIDS across the world. Today, we are so proud to build on our heritage and partner with Caitlyn Jenner to deepen our support to organizations working to end stigma against transgender people and provide trans individuals with the healthcare and a quality of life that they deserve.”

The light pink shade was sold in select MAC stores, as well as via the company’s online website. All the profits raised from the collaboration will be divided among 21 different organizations across the country that support transgender issues. These programs will focus on access to health care, human rights, civil rights, economic empowerment, and job readiness of the transgender community.

Jenner spoke about her partnership with the global make-up company in a press release. “Transgender people have had unprecedented visibility in the last few years, but it hasn’t always benefited trans people, particularly those most in need.” Jenner said, “With M•A•C I’ve found a partner that demonstrates a real commitment to the funding of transgender specific organizations and projects.”

Caitlyn Jenner came into the public eye as Bruce Jenner, an ex-olympian who won a gold medal in the decathlon. Jenner fathered two children with reality TV star Kris Kardashian. His daughters Kendall and Kylie Jenner are both extremely successful models/social media personalities/entrepreneurs. Bruce Jenner first announced his transition to a woman in April of 2015. Since then, Caitlyn Jenner has been a strong advocate for the trans community.
