The Turkish edition of Première Vision, held for the second time from March 11-13, welcomed 7,136 visitors, 16% of which came from abroad.

Organizers recorded the presence of 1,117 professionals from neighboring countries, such as Bulgaria, Romania, Poland, Greece, Russia and even Iran.

The show brought together 163 exhibitors from countries such as Italy, Germany, France, Austria, Bulgaria, the UK, Romania and Lithuania, as well as Morocco, Hong Kong, India and Pakistan.

Organized by the French company Première Vision Sa (51%) and the Turkish company CNR Holding (49%), the textile event didn’t match the 8,294 visitors present at the inaugural edition, held from October 29-31. But that edition benefited from an opening day that fell on a holiday as well as from the fact that the fall-winter season is always stronger.

"This was very good for a spring-summer session," said Première Vision’s international exhibitions director, Guglielmo Olearo. "After the curiosity aroused by the first edition, we had to show that we can bring the things we’re known for here. The business environment was very positive despite the lack, once again, of many Russian and Ukrainian visitors. But, above all, we’ve been reassured in terms of the investment choices that we’ve made, with the attendance of the closest European countries."

For Première Vision Sa, the 2nd and 3rd editions are those that pose the biggest dangers. And it’s especially toward the east that the new event gradually intends to expand its presence. "Especially in Iran, which for us is a land of opportunity and which is opening more and more to the West through Turkey," explained Olearo. "Egypt could also be a target as well as some eastern countries and the UAE, where we haven’t yet launched a promotional campaign."

The next Première Vision Istanbul edition will be held from October 21-23. In the more immediate future, the organizer will hold its next Première Vision Shanghai on April 14 and 15.
