Chiara Ferragni stars in new Tod's campaign with her family
Chiara Ferragni’s appointment to the board of directors of Tod’s in April 2021 made plenty of headlines. A year later, the connection between Italy's renowned influencer/businesswoman and the luxury footwear group has spawned an advertising campaign focused on the theme of generational handover, embodied by Ferragni together with her own family.
Ferragni stars in the ‘Tod’s Generations’ campaign set in a villa on Lake Como, with her mother Marina and her sisters Valentina and Francesca, “perfectly encapsulating the foundational values of Italian lifestyle for the new generations the world over,” as Tod's stated in a press release.
The aim is to bring back centre stage Tod’s signature Gommino driving shoes, distinctive for their rubber-studded soles, while also promoting the label’s ‘Bow’ handbag, also featuring rubber studs.
“Gommino [moccasins] are an Italian style icon, I remember them from my childhood and I like the idea that they are a timeless classic, handed over from generation to generation,” said Ferragni.
For the occasion, Tod’s and social media star Ferragni made a donation to ‘I Bambini delle fate’, a not-for-profit association supporting the educational needs of children affected by autism and other disabilities.
