The Paris-based fragrance brand Diptyque has appointed Pauline de Rodellec as director of corporate social responsibility (CSR), a newly created position. Since 2019, Pauline de Rodellec had been serving at Guerlain as head of sustainable development strategy.

Pauline de Rodellec started her career at the American cosmetics group Coty, where she worked as international product director for makeup brand Rimmel. She then joined the luxury group LVMH, first at Guerlain, and then, in 2013, at Parfums Christian Dior as marketing brand manager and makeup development. She then returned to Guerlain, where since 2019 she had been in charge of the brand’s sustainable development strategy.

Diptyque, which sells fragrances, candles and skincare products, is looking to strengthen its CSR policy, which includes sourcing more sustainable supplies from fair trade producers and optimizing the recyclability of its products.

Founded in 1961 and acquired in 2005 by the Manzanita Capital fund, which owns brands such as Byredo and Malin+Goetz, among others, Diptyque generated sales of 94 million euros in 2020. The brand, which is present in around 50 different countries, boasts 90 boutiques, of which more than 20 are located in the United States
