G-Star reshuffles management teams in Britain

G-Star has been restructuring its management teams for the United Kingdom and Ireland. The Dutch denim brand has appointed Nathan Ness as the new country manager, who up to now had been serving as sales manager for premium brands at Heineken UK. Together with this appointment, G-Star also introduced a new position of retail manager to the British and Irish markets. This newly created post will be filled by Tom Duncan, who was already in charge of these countries. “Just like other important markets, this one will from now on also have the distinction between wholesale and retail”, G-star commented.

Tom Duncan will report directly to Jonas Bach, commercial director for the UK and Scandinavian countries. In the United Kingdom alone, G-star is planning to have a network of around 50 mono-brand stores by 2015, including the 24 that it already has (19 in England, 4 in Scotland and 1 in Wales).
