Photographer John Balsom shot the the driver in dramatic black and white in Saint-Tropez, Côte d’Azur, where Giorgio Armani has a summer residence. The ads, shot before the Covid-19 lockdown, mark an advertising campaign debut for the racing driver from Monaco.

“Extremely happy to announce that I am now a brand ambassador of Giorgio Armani and its Made to Measure Line. Fashion together with music and motorsport have always been my passions, and to be representing such an iconic brand from now on is a huge honor,” the driver wrote in his latest post on his Instagram account, along with four images from the campaign.  Leclerc boasts three million Instagram followers.

The 22-year-old, Monaco-born driver began racing for Ferrari last year. During his first season at Ferrari, Leclerc recorded 10 podium finishes; two wins in Belgium and Italy; four fastest laps and the most pole positions of any driver that season, with seven.

“Charles Leclerc is a very promising racing driver. He has achieved considerable success despite his young age, and this is an indication of his will and determination, as well as his obvious talent. He is fresh-faced and has an energetic physical presence that my Made to Measure collection enhances and matches well. A Made to Measure suit is ageless, as demonstrated by these photographs,” said Armani in a release.

The Giorgio Armani Made to Measure service, which was launched in 2006, is available at Giorgio Armani boutiques around the world.
