L'Oréal Chairman and CEO Jean‐Paul Agon announced a new organizational structure for the Americas business, effective December 2016.

L'Oréal'sLatin America Hispanic Zone and Brazil will be reorganized into one geographic unit: Latin America - L'Oréal

The cosmetics company said in a press release that the existing regional divisions Latin America Hispanic Zone and Brazil will be reorganized into one geographic unit, Latin America. The new entity will be led by Javier San Juan, president of L'Oréal’s Latin America Hispanic Zone since February 2014.

He will focus on aligning the regional financial strategies and creating synergies within L'Oréal’s North America business and the new Latin America unit.

The announcement comes at a time of change for the beauty brand in Latin America. Mexico has seen rapid expansion in the past few years, while the Brazil business redefined its strategic priorities and successfully completed the acquisition of Niely Cosmeticos.

As a testament to the company’s commitment to Mexico and its great growth potential, L'Oréal has appointed Jean-Noël Divet to the newly-created role of general manager of L'Oréal Mexico.

He has been at L'Oréal for over 31 years and has held roles such as country general manager for Poland and Portugal. He served most recently as commercial director and was based in Paris, France.
