Wolford on Wednesday launched a new capsule collection in a collab with luxury Italian shoemaker Sergio Rossi, bringing together two brands that are both controlled by Lanvin Group.

It said the collab “embodies craftmanship, femininity, contemporaneity and elegance, all key values, generating a capsule collection combining the best of both worlds”.

The products are a “day-to-night collection of seven pieces that enchant with their centre-staging sophistication. A tribute to ‘maestria’ – exquisite, painstaking detail”.

There are suspender tights that are "provocative and original”; tights “glistening and full of minute decorative studs”; socks “emblazoned with double branded sparkle”; form-fitting tights in lycra with “vibrant, rich colour palettes”; and two jumpsuits. But the "pièce de resistance” is the “stay-up over-the-knee boots of shattering sensuality, made on an iconic structure of Sergio Rossi, a true symbol of this latest fashion affinity”.

The capsule sees a campaign, shot in New York City, that's “a tribute to Helmut Newton, the legendary photographer that during his career worked for both companies celebrating femininity, independence and empowerment of the human body”.

The images make the most of the visual impact of NYC “with a touch of contemporary glam glitz artfully embodied by the storytelling of Evangelie Smyrniotaki,” Sergio Rossi’s artistic director.

The campaign stars model Cate Underwood photographed by Haris Farsarakis, with video direction by Ruslan Pelykh and styling by Sandy Armeni. “

“Sergio Rossi & Wolford represent a perfect synergy, both been defining the bottom half of the body for nearly a century” said Wolford CCO Silvia Azzali. “[It’s] a natural progression, symptomatic of our ever-increasing fashion influence, combining strengths to offer ever more creative product value”.
