Pete Fox named President of Kanye West’s Yeezy brand

Kanye West expressed how much he would like to poach Balenciaga and Vetements Creative Director, Demna Gvasalia West for his Yeezy brand. This may simply be wishful thinking for the rapper-turned-designer, but he did manage to find a CEO for his Yeezy brand in Pete Fox.

Pete Fox

Pete Fox, who was named Chief Creative Officer of Fox Head, Inc. in December 2014, takes his company building expertise to the young Yeezy brand. Pete’s father and uncle, Geoff and Bob, founded Fox Head in 1974, and he joined the family business himself at the age of 18. He was named Chief Creative Officer of Fox Head in 1986 and he held the position until 2001 when he became President. Pete remained as President until 2014 when he was named Chief Creative Officer again, and now he adds the Yeezy brand to his resume.

According to High Snobiety, West and Fox have worked together on biker pants and gloves for Yeezy Season 3.

Pete seems like an unlikely choice for CEO since West’s preferences tend to trend towards high fashion and luxury, but his experience at Fox, which provides high-performance action sports and clothing products, makes him a top candidate. West has spoken tirelessly about providing fully functional clothing at a lower price point and siding with Pete can make that plan a reality.
