Rimowa, the LVMH-owned luggage brand, announced on Tuesday the appointment of Martin Croteau as President of North America. He assumed his role in October and reports to co-CEO Alexandre Arnault.

Croteau joined Rimowa from Moleskine, where he served as Head of Retail, APAC & GM, China, and most recently President of Americas. Prior to Moleskine, he worked at Rona for over 4 years in China and Canada.

“I have been a fan and user of the brand for the longest time,” said Croteau. “Our focus will be on offering a unique proposition to our customers by implementing a multichannel approach that will ensure continued growth in the North American market. We will work closely with our teams and partners to put in place initiatives that will bring us closer to our loyal fans and expand the reach of these well-crafted products.”

The 119-year-old luggage brand earlier this year appointed former DKNY Chief Image Officer Hector Muelas as Chief Brand Officer and former Nest Head of Industrial Design Rocky Jacob as Chief Product Officer.

Both appointments came months after LVMH acquired Rimowa for $716 million.
