Since the Rolling Stones store opened on London’s Carnaby Street store 14 months ago, it’s been busy developing collaborations to maintain links to a younger audience. But this latest one is certainly its biggest yet.

Rolling Stones x Tommy Hilfiger

The famous rock band’s RS No 9. Carnaby merchandising arm has linked up with Tommy Hilfiger to release a music-related collection.

It’s called ‘Tommy Revisited: Music Edition’ and the collection combines Tommy Jeans streetwear with tour merchandise-inspired apparel, “honouring musical legends that include legendary rock band, The Rolling Stones”.

The connection is pretty straightforward. We’re told that, from his early days in fashion, music has played a crucial role in the life and work of the US designer, as well as in the brand DNA of Tommy Jeans. “So The Rolling Stones were one of the first bands Hilfiger fell in love with”, the US fashion house said.

The streetwear range, of course, centres on tees, hoodies and shirts bearing the famous ‘tongue & lips’ logo celebrating the ‘1999 Rolling Stones X Tommy Hilfiger No Security’ tour merchandise, this time with a Tommy Jeans streetwear twist.

The London store, created in partnership with Bravado, Universal Music Group’s merchandise and brand management company, has also linked up with Team GB to launch a collection for the summer Olympics, a football-linked range with Umbro for the Euro Championships, and even a beach lifestyle brand with Sunnylife Australia.
