Set to take place on Friday, April 29, the unisex runway show will feature his Fall/Winter 2022 collection, and will precede the Met Gala, slated to take place on May 2.

Browne said the decision to delay his Fall 2022 showing was due to Omicron-related logistics challenges, and in effort to support part two of “In America: A Lexicon of Fashion,” curated by his partner Andrew Bolton.

Browne is the latest designer to step away from The New York Fashion Week schedule in February, after making his triumphant return in September, since showing in Paris. Still, the designer is expected to unveil an online project during the upcoming NYFW February calendar, which will tease his next collection.

Earlier this week, designer Tom Ford also canceled plans to show his Fall 2022 collection at New York Fashion Week next month, due to Covid-19. The designer said the decision was made following a wave of infections at his design studio in Los Angeles and recent shutdowns of his brand's Italian factories.

Other designers who are absent from the February New York Fashion Week Calendar include Ralph Lauren and Tommy Hilfiger

The Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) released its official New York Fashion Week lineup for February, last month. At that time, it said it was closely monitoring the Omicron variant and the impact it may have on its schedule.
