Eyewear manufacturer Marcolin has bolstered its relationship with Tod’s, with the early renewal of the eyewear licence agreement with the Italian luxury label owned by the Della Valle family. The deal for the design, production and worldwide distribution of Tod’s eyeglasses and sunglasses, first signed in 2008, has now been extended until December 2023.

Marcolin, led by CEO Massimo Renon, will take care of Tod’s eyewear line for another five years, consolidating its strong presence in the high-end segment. Marcolin has also recently inked an eyewear licence deal with Bally, the long-established Swiss label specialised in footwear, leather goods and premium accessories.

Marcolin has a series of top luxury names in its licence portfolio, from Tom Ford to Moncler, Ermenegildo Zegna, Roberto Cavalli, Atelier Swarovski, Montblanc, Tod's and Emilio Pucci, as well as a host of fashion labels such as Dsquared2, Guess, Diesel, Just Cavalli, Covergirl, Kenneth Cole, Timberland and Gant.

The Italian eyewear group recently signed a major deal with French luxury group LVMH, setting up the eyewear joint-venture company Thélios. In the 2017 financial year, Marcolin’s revenue was €469.1 million.
