Digital fashion retailer N Brown Group will soon have a new chief financial officer. Dominic Appleton will be joining on 1 March as CFO Designate from rival The Very Group, succeeding Rachel Izzard who’s leaving the fashion industry.

The switch will officially take place following the completion of the N Brown’s FY23 annual report and accounts at the end of May.

In the meantime, Izzard will work with group chief executive Steve Johnson and the board, “to ensure an orderly handover” to Appleton, the retailer said Thursday.

N Brown described Anderson as an “experienced finance professional having spent a total of 10 years at The Very Group, most recently as Group Finance Director.

At Very he’s worked for a business targeting many of the same value-focused customers as N Brown, and given that both are digital businesses, his Very experience is clearly complementary to his new role.

Among his previous jobs he’s also been CFO of footwear brand Hotter Shoes and held senior finance roles at Procter & Gamble.

Anderson’s departure from Very Group comes just months after former CEO of Walmart Japan, Lionel Desclée, became its new CEO.
