Shying away from the oversize installations of previous editions, luxury labels like Gucci, Off-White and Givenchy took advantage of the Milan Design Week to showcase an array of new projects and offbeat initiatives.
Milan Fashion Week is scheduled on September 21-27 with an extensive programme including 65 shows, 42 of which will have in-person guests. Physical events will be in a majority, 125 as opposed to only 46 digital ones.
The Milanese event was not held in 2020, and will be back on September 5-10 with a new format. Fashion names like Hermès, Missoni and Rick Owens will notably feature at Fuorisalone, the event’s parallel programme.
Palm Angels has launched not one but three debut scents with fragrance specialist 19 – 69, in the latest product development from the Italian hipster skateboard brand, following on link-ups with Missoni and Vilebrequin.
Italian brands Missoni and Palm Angels, both particularly active in recent months, have fused together their styles to create a collection of 150 pieces for both men and women which will launch on June 30.
Creative director at Missoni since 1997, Angela Missoni is stepping down from the role, but will stay on at the company as president, while her right-hand man, Alberto Caliri, takes over as interim creative director.
